Embossing Rolling Pin for Festive Baking

Ingredients

0.5 cup (120g) butter
0.7 cup (100g) powdered sugar
2 tablespoons (50g) sour cream
2 yolks
2.5 cups (350g) all-purpose flour
1/4 tsp salt

Step 1

Add all your ingredients into a mixing bowl and mix gently till a light fluffy texture is reached. Press the dough down into 2 flat circular shapes and refrigerate for 30 minutes. Lay the dough out onto a flat surface with flour sprinkled generously.

Step 2

Sprinkle flour generously on top of the mixture and roll flat with a regular rolling pin. Now take your Algis Crafts Handmade Embossed Rolling Pin and firmly roll over the top of the mixture in a stable manner, keeping a firm grip on the rotating handles.

Step 3

Use your favorite biscuit cutter shape to cut out as many biscuits from the mixture as possible. With the remaining mixture, repeat the process from laying the dough flat on a surface in step 1. Take your biscuit shapes and lay flat and equally distant onto a baking tray with parchment paper.

Step 4

Bake till a beautiful golden brown colour in the centre of your oven is reached and be careful not to overbake as the gorgeous pattern will become less visible! Remove from the oven and let cook for 10-15 minutes. All that’s left to do now is to enjoy your scrumptious bakes with your loved ones!
