SolarCentre® Dorada Outdoor Solar Festoon Lights

These count amongst the better quality solar-powered lights I’ve had the pleasure of owning. As well as being sturdy and functional, they look really eye-catching strung around my pergola. The first thing I noticed about this kit was the size and shape of the solar panel. It’s substantial, leaf-shaped, and comes with the option of charging by USB if desired. It is supplied fitted with just the one battery but with space for three if you ever need a longer-lasting charge for a special occasion. The panel can be staked into the ground or secured via a bracket to the wall. One feature I really like is that it can be quickly and easily removed and taken indoors for charging when it is overcast. There are indicator lights on the back to show the level of charge. Although the actual bulbs are very small, they reflect well off the gold-colored, filigree-effect, metal shades, giving a really lovely display. The lights will automatically switch on at dusk and switch off again after seven hours, rather than simply going until they run out of power. At £44.99 (at the time of the review), these cost more than I’d normally pay for a string of festoon lights. However, the bonus here is quality, and these get all the stars from me.
